A short video about solitude (and longing) on a Finnish island as Artist in Residence.

The main intention of the stay was to explore the ambivalent Neo-Romantic longing for the beauty of
nature and the question of how much civilisation is necessary. The view to the outside is captured
exclusively from the interior. The transition from summer to autumn becomes visible,
with different weather conditions altering the atmosphere inside.

Conclusion: the high number of mosquitoes connects nature and humanity.

Will be shown in November 2026 in Berlin as part of the Schöneberger Art, November 2022.
